A Year

I think it's about time I start blogging my life in Colorado.

I mean, I fully think that the life I'm living is something different than the norm.
Many people move to Colorado for the beauty and the majesty of Rocky Mountain Living.
I did just this, nearly four years ago.
I grew up in a small town in Indiana, decided that although I love and appreciate the small town life I had in Indiana.
I needed more.
I moved to Silver Plume, from Indiana, with just my dog.  I lived at 9000ft for a year and found myself.
I got tired of the six month winter and moved to Denver.  I lived in the city, in an amazingly colored duplex built in 1890, but lost myself among the bustle and nonstop noise of inner city Denver.
I got tired of the city life and I moved back into the mountains.
I moved with my best friend, my partner, my other half.

*Nearly a year ago, our first look at the Mica Cabin.  We have put so much love into this tiny place and made it our own.

We're coming up on exactly a year in our sweet 800 square foot cabin.  It's the first year in six years that I have not moved, and I'm thoroughly excited to spend yet another year in this beautiful creek side cabin.

We're also coming up on gardening season, and my full intent of this blog is to not only share snippets of our life in Colorado, but also share the trials, successes, and failures of gardening at 8000 feet.
